Pacers Hold On For OT Win In Cleveland

April 11

Danny Granger's 23 points helped the Pacers fend off the Cleveland Cavaliers 104-98 in over time Wednesday night. The win improved the Pacers's record to 36-22 on the season and they have won six of their last seven games.
George Hill who was making his second straight start for the injured Darren Collison had a chance to put the game out of reach at the end of regulation when he was sent to the free throw line twice, but he left the door open for the Cavs by missing three of the four shots. Lester Hudson of the Cavs would take full advantage as he floated a last second shot over David West that tied the game at 94 with 1.2 seconds left. Roy Hibbert who had a double-double with eleven points and eleven rebounds almost made a circus shot at the buzzer but it was off the rim. The Pacers completely dominated in the five minute OT outscoring the Cavs 10-4. George Hill avenged his own mishap at the end of the fourth quarter when he hit a three pointer late in OT that would serve as a "Kill Shot" to the Cavs.
On a very odd side note during the game's introduction David West of the Pacers got into a mock fight with the Cavs mascot Moondog. In the altercation West accidentally hit and injured the suit wearer's eye. The injury was bad enough that he was sent to the hospital but everything checked out fine. David West was quoted as saying he felt terrible about it and hoped that the guy was okay.
